Program      (Click here for workshop program)
This workshop is organized as a satellite of the IWR14 - International workshop on Relaxor Ferroelectrics. However, it is NOT limited to participants of the IWR14. Ferroelectrics often undergo phase transitions, which may lead to twinning, superstructures and modulations. Jana2006 covers all these phenomena. During the basic workshop participants will solve simple atomic structures from single-crystal and powder data, including twinning and disorder. Work with simple modulated structures will be also explained. Participants interested in advanced topic can continue on Monday October 20 with the 24th Jana2006 advanced workshop.
(INT1) Simple 3d structures (single crystals and powders)
(INT2) Simple 4d modulated structures (single crystals and powders)
(DIS) Disordered structures
(RIG) Application of rigid body
(TW) Twinning
Schedule: Each day the workshop starts at 9:00 am and finishes at 18:00 pm
Lecturers: Vaclav Petricek, Michal Dusek
For this workshop a preliminary experience with Jana2006 is not needed.
Each participant should bring a laptop with operating system Windows2000/XP/Vista/Windows7/Windows8, with Administration rights. Installation of all necessary software will be done at the beginning of the workshop. Wireless internet connection including Eduroam is available at the lecture room. Limited number of computers can be provided to people without laptop (please inform us before the workshop that this would be needed)
Workshop cookbook
Workshop cookbook cumulates examples from all Jana workshops. The latest version together with example files and installations files is available in jana page: (~ 50MB). THE LINK IS UPDATED AFTER THE WORKSHOP, NOT BEFORE!
