Program

This workshop focuses on all aspects of solving and refining crystal structures from powder diffraction data with Jana2020. The workshop covers both standard and modulated structures and explains all steps, from indexing and modeling of powder profiles to extraction of Bragg intensities to solve the phase problem, Rietveld refinement, and creation of CIFs.  In addition, it demonstrates the use of the FOX program for structure solution, the application of artificial intelligence to interpret low-quality electron density maps, the use of Jana2020 tools for searching q-vectors, serial refinements, and other topics.

The workshop is designed to include lectures followed by a hands-on session, during which participants can work on selected examples from the Jana cookbook using their laptops.

Lecturers: Jan Rohlíček, Václav Petříček, Michal Dušek
